In
2001, at the urging of family and friends, Clyde Greenhouse and
Michal Taylor founded The Kessler Cookie Company. Their dream
was sparked by a passion for baking and the pursuit of an improved
quality of life. With both gentlemen coming from family backgrounds
of great baking, cooking and entertaining, it just seemed natural
that their culinary talents would branch out into a full-fledged
business.
From the start, their mission was to provide only products they
are passionate about with flavor and freshness that can’t
be beat. They immediately took on the credo, “baked to order”
and from this point, they instantly won over customers.
Dubbed as “The Kessler Cookie Guys” by neighbors
and friends, Clyde and Michal soon caught the attention of local
media. It was Dallas’ own D Magazine that wrote
about their now legendary Oatmeal Cranberry Walnut Cookie,
“If dear old Mom could bake a cookie like this, we’d
still be clinging to her batter-stained apron.”
And it was D Home Magazine that wrote, “It’s
just like grandma used to bake. But only if she could bake this
well.”
One of the most important aspects of producing a quality product
is the ingredients. While spending several years testing their
traditional recipes (known as formulas to Bakers), Clyde and Michal
also spent a great deal of time seeking out the best ingredients
to achieve the prefect taste, texture, and moisture of each cookie.
They are committed to producing their products with no additives
or preservative and utilizing only natural flavors. Traditional
cookies and confections with a twist. How good can it get?
The Kessler Cookie Company has been certified
by the North Central Texas Regional Certification Agency (NCTRCA)
as a Minority Business Enterprise (MBE).
